Amy Johnson, CISR, AAI

I am a Raleigh native.  I went to UNC-Wilmington where I earned a B.A. in Psychology.  I worked as an insurance underwriter for 6 years and as an insurance auditor for 5.  I attended UNCG for graduate school and earned my M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction.  I taught middle school, mostly science, for 13 years before coming back into the insurance world.  I enjoy working on many of our Inland Marine policies, the Individual Professional Liability, and the NC Symphony policies.  Since joining NCAIA in January of 2022 I have been working on my CISR designation and should be finished in June. I have a 13-year-old daughter who plays soccer, basketball, and softball.  My 6-year-old daughter loves to dance & sing.  My 19-year-old stepson is a firefighter and currently studying to be an EMT as well.  

3 fun facts:

• I love to read, but now I mostly listen to audiobooks on my commute & any free time.
• One of my favorite things is camping with the family and visiting new places.
• I have a wild French Bulldog named Taz who loves it when I work from home.
