iLEAD (Young Agents)

iLEAD is IIANC’s program designed specifically to help foster the growth and success of Young Agents (insurance professionals age 41 and under or with less than five years of industry experience). Our iLEAD program provides opportunities for sales training and leadership development to help agents build the foundation for a successful insurance career. Networking with peer agents will give you the chance to develop friendships and business relationships that will last a lifetime!

Get Involved

The iLEAD program is open to any IIANC member agent who is age 41 and under or has less than five years experience. There is no separate fee to join the program...it's already included with your agency's membership dues. All you have to do is get engaged and participate in iLEAD program and activities! To make sure you stay in the know on what's happening for iLEAD agents, please sign up for the iLEAD distribution list.

Networking Opportunities and Events

One of the biggest benefits of being involved with the iLEAD Program is networking with other young professionals that are at a similar stage in your career. Through iLEAD, you can form friendships and relationships that will last a lifetime. In addition to the annual conference for iLEAD Agents and our Charity Golf Tournament, we hold networking events around the state and online to help you form connections with other young agents. Check back often for upcoming networking opportunities!

Giving Back

One major tenet of the iLEAD Program is encouraging our young professionals give back to their local communities. The Young Agents of North Carolina have a long-standing tradition of supporting charities that have a statewide impact. Over the years, organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, Victory Junction and the Special Olympics of NC have received significant volunteer and financial support from IIANC's young professionals. We’ve also held book drives for local schools, collected donations for those in need following hurricanes and other natural disasters and put together donation bags for the homeless.

In recent years, we have been proud to partner with Make-A-Wish of Eastern NC and Make-A-Wish of Central and Western NC to help grant the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. Our premier fundraising initiative is the Annual IIANC Charity Golf Tournament, with all proceeds going directly to the two NC Make-A-Wish chapters. Thanks to tremendous support from not only IIANC members and company partners but from the larger community, we have been able to raise over $240,000 through the golf tournament and look forward to donating more after this year’s tournament.
