Reporting and Removing Improper or Infringing Content

The Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC) makes every effort to post content on its websites, social media sites, publications, email notices and blog which it believes to be original or reprinted/shared with permission of the original author(s). However, if an individual believes that IIANC has posted content online or in its publications that is controversial, offensive or infringing, he/she is encouraged to notify IIANC for proper review of the complaints.

Please send a written request to review the content in question to info@iianc.com. IIANC will then review the material and determine the proper course of action – editing, removing or leaving the content as is. Once notified of the complaint, the webmaster will meet with the Vice President of Member Experience who will bring the information to the attention of the proper departments and senior management team. Upon agreement of the senior management team, including the Chief Executive Officer, the information will be edited, removed or left unchanged. The webmaster will notify the individual(s) who submitted the complaint of IIANC’s decision.

If a third-party posts content or comments on an IIANC social media account that is deemed inappropriate or offensive, IIANC has the authority to and will immediately remove the content in question.
