About Kurt Fickling
Kurt Fickling is a 30-year plus veteran of the insurance industry. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, he began his career with The Hartford Insurance Group, specializing in underwriting and marketing. He went on to serve as general manager and president of Moseley Brothers Agency. In 1979, Fickling founded the Greenville, North Carolina-based Fickling & Clement Insurance, developing the company into one of the leading insurance agencies in the Southeast. Hoping to share his vast knowledge of successful agency operations, Fickling sold his partnership in the company in 2001 to establish Fickling Consultants, Inc.
Fickling is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina and the Independent Insurance Agents of America. He was named IIANC Independent Agent of the Year in 1988. At the state level, he has served on numerous committees, including the Board of Directors, Insurance Advisory Committee, NC Reinsurance Board of Governors, Technical Committee and Education Committee. He has received Presidential Citations on the Workers' Compensation Task Force at the state and national levels, and is a sought-after speaker on IIAA Workers' Compensation.
A longtime resident of Greenville, NC, Fickling is a member of the faculty at East Carolina University/RMI Foundation and has numerous civic and community involvements.
