Insurance Legislation

There are a number of legislative issues at both the state and national level that directly affect the insurance industry and the livelihood of independent agents. IIANC realizes the importance of keeping our members informed on these issues and also acting on their behalf in our daily lobbying efforts with legislators. The following resources can make sure you are knowledgeable about current insurance legislation.

Legislative Newsletter

While the state's General Assembly is in session, IIANC distributes an e-newsletter to our members highlighting the state legislation related to insurance. The Raleigh Report provides updates on the bills that IIANC's Government Affairs team is currently tracking in the General Assembly and the potential impact on the insurance industry and our members. This newsletter is emailed out each Friday morning while the General Assembly is in session.
