NC Rate Bureau - Information Updates

September 12, 2018:

Due to potential adverse weather conditions resulting from Hurricane Florence, NCRB will be suspending operations effective at 4:00PM on 9/13/18.  All online web tools and applications will be taken off-line at that point and will remain off-line until conditions are deemed safe and NCRB associates are able to return to our facilities.  While we are hopeful to resume normal operations on 9/17/18, our offices will be closed until further notice.

During this time, agents will not have the ability to submit applications for coverage through the Assigned Risk Plan using the ManageAR web application.  If any employer wishes to apply for coverage through the Assigned Risk Plan with an effective date on or between 9/14/18-9/17/18, it is strongly suggested that completed applications be submitted before 9/13/18.

If an employer needs to bind coverage during the time that operations are suspended, agents may submit a completed application (attached fillable PDF application) by email to arApp@ncrb.org.  Upon resuming operations, all applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis for eligibility, completeness, and accuracy.  If an emailed application is deemed eligible for assignment, the requested effective date on the application will be honored pending your submission of a completed online application through ManageAR along with premium payment within 2 business days of NCRB operations being resumed.  As a reminder, coverage through the Assigned Risk Plan may be bound at 12:01AM on the next calendar day after a completed application is received by NCRB.
