Top News for Your Agency

Statewide "Stay at Home" Order Announced
Gov. Roy Cooper announced a "stay at home" order for all 100 counties, effective Monday, March 30 at 5pm. Insurance agencies are considered "essential business" and can remain in operation. Essential business are required to maintain the Social Distancing policies set forth in the order.  The order is valid for 30 days (through April 29) but can be revised or extended.

Premium Payment Deferral Order Issued
On March 27, NC Commissioner of Insurance Mike Causey activated an emergency declaration that will defer insurance premium payments for all NC residents. It applies to all insurance companies defined in the statute including health insurance, residential property and automobile insurance. The order will defer not only premium payments but will also defer statutory time requirements. It expires 30 days from the date of issuance, unless extended by the Commissioner.
